Dillon Brooks appears to have picked his side in the feud between Kevin Durant and Mat Ishbia.
The veteran superstar was called out by the Phoenix Suns owner recently, who suggested that his investment in bringing the forward to the team contributed to their shortcomings.
Durant, who is always up for a debate on social media, hit back at Ishbia, claiming that the Suns were a .500 team with a lot of internal problems before he arrived.
Now, Brooks has had something to say, and his allegiance seems to lie with his current employer.
Fully guaranteed through 2029-30, putting him on the same timeline as Devin Booker.
Brooks joined the Phoenix Suns in July 2025 as part of a major seven-team trade that sent Durant to the Houston Rockets.
The former, much like Durant, is not afraid of confrontation, even with the big names, and his latest target appears to be the man he effectively replaced.
Just when it seemed like the arguments about the Suns’ ‘culture’ overhaul couldn’t get any spicier, Brooks may have just poured fuel on the fire.
In an Instagram Story following Ishbia’s controversial comments on Durant, the 30-year-old posted an intense photo of himself with 50 Cent’s diss track ‘Back Down’ playing in the background.

Overlaid was a text that read: “Thanks, Matt, for cleaning up that stench in the locker room before I came. #Culture.”
Brooks did not name Durant in his post, but it seems pretty clear that he was firing shots at the former Suns star. We can’t imagine it being directed to anyone else.
This makes the game between the Suns and the Rockets in November all the more spicy.
