This week’s Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Rams garnered nearly 20 million viewers.
It was an entertaining game that saw two of the NFL’s most recent MVPs, Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford, facing off.
When all was said and done, it was the Bills who came out on top, handing Allen the first-ever overtime win of his professional career.
Now, NBC have reported that the game was watched by 19.8 million people across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and NFL Network, making it the second most-watched Week 5 Monday night game since ESPN assumed the package.
However, while the game garnered an impressive viewing figure, it did not surpass the current Week 5 ESPN Monday Night Football record.
That title instead belongs to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars, who pulled in 22.3 million viewers on ESPN in last year’s Week Five Monday night game on October 6 2025.
This year’s game left the Bills with a 4-1 record ahead of their return to action on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Meanwhile, the Rams have slipped to 2-3 prior to their clash with the Arizona Cardinals on October 18.
Another loss in that tie will see them match the Cardinals’ record (currently 1-4) in the bottom half of the NFC West.
