Carrick explains Martinez decision

Michael Carrick reiterated that "what's done is done" when asked about Lisandro Martinez being selected to start for United against Leeds today.

Martinez tore into the United hierarchy following United's defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday. The United defender took aim at Jason Wilcox, saying he expected more from the club in the transfer window.

Martinez released a statement on Wednesday explaining his comments before sitting down for talks with Omar Berrada, Wilcox and Carrick on Thursday. He would apologise later that day for the timing of his comments but did not take back what he said.
