The NFL didn't do the Los Angeles Rams many favors as it relates to the 2026 schedule. After starting the season in Melbourne, Australia, the Rams will have a shortened bye week ahead of their Thanksgiving Eve game against the Green Bay Packers.
Instead of the typical 13 rest days, the Rams will have only 10 days between their Nov. 15 game against the Arizona Cardinals and the Packers matchup. It's not exactly ideal for a team relying on several players age-30 and above, including Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald.
Stafford's wife, Kelly Stafford, expressed her displeasure with the scheduling quirk on Instagram.
“Just curious to hear the thought process behind making the Rams the only team in the NFL without a true bye week,” Kelly Stafford wrote. “Because damn, after 18 years around this league, even I need a week off during the season … and I have never played a single snap.”
The Rams entered the season with Super Bowl expectations but have stumbled to a 4-4 record. Both Myles Garrett and Davante Adams have undergone surgery while Stafford has regressed after his 2025 MVP campaign.
Still, Los Angeles can get above .500 if it can win its third straight game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
