This figure applies to all major European competitions played by Manchester United at their home ground, which has never before seen the visiting team score two goals in 17 minutes of play.

This start takes on even greater significance given the teams’ history. Roma had lost all four of their previous meetings at Old Trafford between 2007 and 2021.
