Ipswich Town striker Chuba Akpom says he is "grateful" to manager Gary O'Neil, who sees what he can bring to the team.
He told BBC Radio Suffolk: "I'm happy with it so far. The team is doing well and I'm just itching to get as many minutes as I can, to get a start, whatever impact the gaffer wants me to have. I'm ready for whatever."
On scoring against Manchester United in the Premier League and former side Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, Akpom said: "It's fantastic for a striker to score goals. That's what we thrive off so I'm just hoping I get more opportunities to show and score some more goals."
Referring to Town's knack of scoring late goals, Akpom added: "Hopefully we can get the game [against Nottingham Forest] done and dusted and won before that, but if it goes to the last minute, it goes to the last minute.
"I guess it's good for the fans when we get late goals. We're a persistent team and we don't stop until the end so, whichever way it goes, I'm sure we'll give 100%."
