Renee Slegers lauded Arsenal's "passion and pride for the shirt" following their hard-earned 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the Women's Super League.
The Gunners climbed to sixth place in the WSL table, with Alessia Russo's first-half brace enough to seal all three points at Anfield.
Russo broke the deadlock in the ninth minute, though the lead lasted just six minutes with Beata Olsson equalising for the hosts.
However, Arsenal were not to be denied, with Russo's second goal just before half-time eventually proving the difference.
"If I look at the whole team, the way we do it, the way we set [Russo] up in the box, but then also the way we defend at the end of the game for our lives, [there was] so much passion and pride for the shirt," Slegers said.
"It was about starters and finishers, that ball wasn't going to go in, and we were determined to get the three points today, and the team did it.
"Not an easy situation coming off the draw against [Aston] Villa, and, of course, the run of games that we've had as well. The determination and the character gave us the win today.

"We wanted to be more comfortable, of course, but they are good on the ball. We have to look at how we can set things up even better, so we can stop them from getting closer to our box.
"But when the ball was in and around the area, we defended for our lives. So we're mainly happy with the character of the team."
Slegers also paid tribute to two-goal Russo, who has now found the net seven times in her last four games.
The England striker has also been on target in three straight WSL appearances for the first time since a run of six in January 2025.
"She is in top form," Slegers added. "I think the two goals are such clean finishes. She picks up really good positions in the box. I'm really happy for [her]."
Elsewhere in the WSL, London City Lionesses closed the gap on second-place Chelsea to four points, following a 4-1 victory over Birmingham City.
Crystal Palace climbed above Liverpool, after Bethany England's 90th-minute winner saw them edge out Charlton Athletic 3-2. Tottenham came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1, while Manchester United were 1-0 winners over Aston Villa.
