Ryder DiFrancesco and Daxton Bennick have officially been named as part of the Red Bull KTM 250 team for 2027 in a move that has been rumored since Husqvarna announced it would no longer field a factory team.
They will be part of a four-rider roster that includes 2026 rider Julien Beaumer and Sacha Coenen, who joins SuperMotocross after four seasons in the MX2 division of the European MXGP series.
The deal is for the entire SuperMotocross World Championship.
“I’m super-excited to be joining Red Bull KTM Factory Racing,” DiFrancesco said in a news release. “It’s been one of the top-tier teams in the paddock since I can remember, so it’s going to be a cool feeling being on the orange bike in 2027 – it only grows the confidence in myself and the team. The next thing to do now is to go out there and win. I’m excited, and the season can’t come soon enough.”
DiFrancesco earned podium finishes in the first two SuperMotocross Playoff races and had an opportunity to earn the Championship in the season finale at Thunder Valley Nature Area in Ridgedale, Missouri. He finished seventh in the finale and placed second overall to Levi Kitchen.
Bennick stook on the podium in the first playoff race in Columbus, Ohio and was seventh in the standings. His greatest success in 2026 came in the Monster Energy Supercross Eastern division with a third-place ranking in the standings.
“I’m so excited to be on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team next year,” Bennick said. “It’s always been a dream of mine, so it’s a super-cool and surreal moment for me. There are a lot of familiar faces on the team and also some new ones, and I think we’re going to make a really good combination and go after the championships – I’m ready to get to work.”
SMX Playoff Champion Jorge Prado and Lucas Coenen will compete in the 450 division.
