'Popular decision' - Sheffield Wednesday predicted line-up for Doncaster Rovers test

The Owls will be without a number of players on Saturday

Sheffield Wednesday will be aiming to bounce back from their miserable night against Notts County in Saturday’s South Yorkshire derby against Doncaster Rovers.

Henrik Pedersen’s side were well-beaten at Meadow Lane in midweek but they have the opportunity to put that behind them and climb back into the play-offs this weekend.

With injuries and suspensions in the squad, Pedersen will have to shuffle the pack against Rovers, who are 19th in League One.

Let’s take a look at how they could line-up...

With Lumley still expected to be out with a rib injury, Maynard-Brewer should continue between the sticks. Came out of the midweek defeat with some credit, which can't be said for the rest.

Can he play three games in a week? It is a big ask. But Wednesday need him. If not, Max Lowe could slot in.

The 29-year-old will probably start at left-back or left-sided centre-half. If it is the latter, Reece James will keep his usual spot.

Rovers are a possession-based attacking team. This game might suit him more than midweek when he was brought off after an hour.

Not started the last two but has looked bright off the bench. With Slattery suspended, Morrison seems the obvious choice to come back in.
