New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins is the player who needs to step up most for the team in Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers. With the Patriots facing significant injuries to their receiving corps, Hollins might be quarterback Drake Maye's most important offensive weapon in the game.
A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs are both out for the matchup, creating a significant void in the Patriots’ passing game. Additionally, tight end Hunter Henry is dealing with a foot injury, which he will be working his way back from against Green Bay. Given those circumstances, Hollins might turn out to be the Patriots' clear-cut No. 1 receiving target this week.
Hollins has recorded 15 receptions for 209 yards on 20 targets through four games played this season, averaging 13.9 yards per catch. He has yet to find the end zone, though.
The Packers have allowed 1,767 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns this season while surrendering a 63.7 percent completion rate. Hollins will have an opportunity to capitalize on Green Bay's defensive vulnerabilities and establish himself as a reliable option for Maye in the game.
