‘Be Original, Man,’ ‘Have Some Shame’ — NFL Fans Call Out Antonio Brown for Throwing Shade at Jets by ‘Stealing’ Another Person’s Post

The New York Jets can’t seem to catch a break this season. Despite Geno Smith putting up solid stats and passing numbers at quarterback, they’re sitting at 2-5 after repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot. The same problems came back to haunt them in Week 7.

On Sunday, the Jets let another winnable game slip away, falling 28-25 to the Miami Dolphins, who entered the matchup without a win all season.

Antonio Brown wasted little time taking a shot at New York on social media. But fans soon spotted a problem with his post: The former NFL star had copied someone else’s words verbatim.

Fans Berate Antonio Brown for Copying Another Person to Mock the Jets

Brown was a sixth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2010 NFL Draft and quickly became one of the league’s best wide receivers. He made seven Pro Bowls, earned five All-Pro selections, and won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before playing his final NFL game on Jan. 2, 2022.

These days, Brown is making more noise on social media than he did on the field in his final years. After the Jets’ latest loss, he took a brutal shot at the struggling team.

“Being a Jets fan is like having a terminal illness but not ever dying,”he tweeted.

Fans soon noticed that Brown had used the exact same wording as another account that posted earlier.

Many called out the former wide receiver for copying the post, with a number of people noting that this wasn’t the first time he’d been accused of pulling a stunt like this.

“Nice stolen tweet,” one X user remarked, while another fan called Brown out, telling him to “Have some shame.”

“Bro be stealing tweets with zero [expletive] given,” a third fan exclaimed.

Another user informed Brown, “Already saw this tweet, unc,” while one fan posted, “You ever come up with anything original? Na, na, you don’t.”

One fan posted a screenshot of the original post, adding in the caption, “Be original, man.”

Even the account that originally made the postwas stunned by the development and wondered, “Antonio Brown is stealing my tweets. What the hell, sure.”

Fans then pointed to another instance of him copying someone else’s words, this time taking a post from TJ Horgan about the NFL never holding a regular-season game in Hawaii.

“The fact that the NFL can bring football to nearly every corner of the earth, but there’s never been a regular season game in Hawaii is a shame,” Horgan originally wrote. Brown copied the post word for word.
