The road trip did not go how the Boston Bruins wanted it to, but they don’t have much time before their two-game homestand starts up tomorrow afternoon.
The Bruins dropped both games of the road trip, falling 2-1 to Carolina on Tuesday before an uninspiring 4-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues last night. Marco Sturm called last night’s performance “unacceptable.” The Bruins are back in Boston and will hit the practice rink in Brighton this morning.
Elsewhere around the league, Dylan Larkin is done in Detroit. He won’t play, and they aren’t paying him. His trade list is still at 10 teams, but the Bruins are one of three teams outside that list showing interest. The Flyers are in need of a reality check after a sluggish start to the season, and some changes may be necessary. The Oilers are looking to add size and toughness up front, and the Penguins were on the losing end of a thriller against Utah.
Happy Friday, catch up on Bruins and league news in today’s Daily Bean:
And yes, it’s back: Larkinbucks.com. He will forfeit $41,000 per day.
