Tottenham face a massive test in the Women’s Super League this Sunday against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Head Coach Martin Ho has confirmed that the team will be without midfielder Olga Ahtinen for the London derby.
The Finland international missed the previous game against London City Lionesses right before the recent international break. The situation has now been clarified, with the player needing some time on the sidelines to recover from a minor issue.
Speaking during his Friday morning press conference, Ho delivered the injury update to the media and outlined plans for the rest of the squad heading into the weekend.

“Apart from Olga [Ahtinen] has picked up a little bit of a knock and will be out for a little bit, but that’s all,” Ho stated regarding the midfield absence.
The rest of the squad is currently undergoing medical evaluations. A large group of players only reported back to the training ground on Friday morning after representing their national teams across the globe. Travel fatigue is a genuine factor that the management team must consider before naming the starting eleven.

Addressing the fitness levels of his returning internationals, Ho said, “As we was, availability is still the same. We will assess more players today when they come back off international duty. Some have had longer journeys than others, and that’s it really.”
