FootballTransfers runs through the latest Chelsea transfer news, including fresh updates on Alex Scott and Malo Gusto.
Article continues under the videoChelsea have opened "fresh talks" with Bournemouth over a potential deal for midfielder Alex Scott for the upcoming January transfer window.
The Blues have identified central midfield as a position to strengthen after losing influential star Enzo Fernandez late in the summer transfer window. They did fiercely pursue a deal for Monaco's Lamine Camara but that transfer did not materialise, so have turned their attention back to Scott after previously making him a priority target.
Bournemouth had initially been expected to retain Scott until the end of the season as they pursue Europa League success. However, after extensive discussions with the 23-year-old’s representatives, the club have become more open to the possibility of a January departure.
Scott has rejected multiple offers to extend his contract, prompting Bournemouth to consider selling him during the winter transfer window. The Cherries are prepared to sanction a move provided their €120 million valuation is met, reports Ben Jacobs.
TEAMtalk reports that Manchester City are considering an approach for Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto in January.
Manager Enzo Maresca previously worked with the French defender at Stamford Bridge and there were talks of interest this past summer, though City baulked at Chelsea's reported €90m asking price.
Gusto has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea under Xabi Alonso so the club could look to cash in if City make their interest concrete, though it is believed the asking price would need to be reduced.
Any potential deal hinges on City's punishment for their 114 financial breaches as one potential outcome is a transfer ban.
After joining from Borussia Dortmund in July 2025, Jamie Gittens has found regular starts hard to come by at Chelsea, and a hamstring injury disrupted his debut season. He made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring once and providing five assists.
He has suffered from injuries in the current campaign, too, and his Chelsea career is yet to really get up and running.
With Alonso having plenty of options on the wings, the Blues could allow him to leave on loan in January to receive more game time.
Tuttomercato reports that Roma are interested in taking him until the end of the season.
Chelsea are one of several elite clubs around Europe keeping an eye on the development of Ajax wonderkid Abdellah Ouazane, reports Ekrem Konur.
The 17-year-old has made encouraging progress at Ajax this season, establishing himself in the first team squad. He has featured in both the Eredivisie and European competitions, although he is still mainly being used as a substitute.
In 657 minutes of football, he has three goals and three assists this campaign.
Ajax have no intention of selling such an asset at this stage in his career but Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Man City have all been credited with interest in the Moroccan.
