Kairi Sane has been linked to heavy rumors of her making the jump to AEW. Many fans expected her to sign and debut with the Jacksonville-based promotion by now but as of this writing, that hasn’t happened. This has fueled speculation about her status with Tony Khan’s company. However, a recent update has emerged, shedding new light on the situation.
According to the latest update from Wrestling Observer, Kairi Sane has a visa situation to work out. It also added that, if and when it’s resolved, she is then headed to AEW.
Meanwhile, Sane will be part of a series of shows in November, including one under the All Elite Wrestling banner. AEW veteran Chris Jericho announced that one of his Rock and Wrestling Rager shows on the Chris Jericho cruise will be AEW Collision. It is set to take place on November 7.
Kairi Sane was announced as part of the cruise’s festivities, including meet-and-greets and fan sessions, from November 7 to 11, as the cruise sails from Miami to the Bahamas.
“SHE’S BAAAACK! Stoked to announce the addition of the #SaneSailor @official_kairi to the @jericho_cruise! She will be there to meet & greet, take pix, and be a part of the overall festivities on the #SeventhCruiseOfTheSeventhCruise!!”
Therefore, with Sane being on the cruise at the time AEW Collision will be taped, there is a huge chance that she could make an appearance on AEW television, even if she is unable to sign on the dotted line due to visa issues.
Kairi Sane was last seen as part of WWE, teaming with Asuka as The Kabuki Warriors. However, the Stamford-based promotion released her earlier this year, and as of now, she is a free agent. With the Pirate Princess’s next destination likely to be Tony Khan’s promotion, it remains to be seen what is in store for her next.
