The Green Bay Packers extended their 2026 season record to 4-2 with a primetime "Sunday Night Football" win over the Dallas Cowboys, securing a 23-13 final score at Lambeau Field.
While the Packers came out on top in Week 6, they left quite a few offensive opportunities on the table.
Green Bay receivers dropped a total of three would-be touchdown passes from quarterback Jordan Love. Two drops were committed by second-year wide receiver Matthew Golden.
After the game, Love revealed the message he got from Golden following these drops:
"Just keep trusting me. Just keep coming to me."
"That’s what you love. You love to see that confidence, that resiliency," Love said. "That’s what I tell these guys all the time. Don’t hang your head ever after a bad play. Just expect the ball to keep coming your way and make that next play.”
Despite these drops, Golden finished Sunday night's win with six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown.
“I want to make every throw,” Love added postgame. “I want these guys to make every catch. That’s the expectation. Stuff happens. Drops happen. Obviously, I want those guys to make those plays, and we’re capable of making those plays. But for me, it’s got to be the next play mindset. You’ve got to move on.”
Golden will look to remedy his drop issues in next Sunday's division-rival matchup against the Detroit Lions.
