This was the first meeting of the two sides since a Senior Cup meeting in 2022, which Kilgetty won by six goals to two.

Division 2 side Kilgetty came into this game in fine form, having won their last five games in all competitions.

Division 3's Pembroke Boro were also on a good run, having won four and drawn one of their last five games in all competitions.

It was Kilgetty who took the lead on Saturday as Henry Lawrence set up George Morgan to score with 25 minutes played.

It remained that way until half time and Boro still felt they could get back into the game in the second half.

However, those hopes were dented six minutes after the restart when Boro’s Sean Kettle was sent off.

A minute later Kilgetty scored again as Lawrence provided the assist for captain Rich Cope to score.

Cope then scored again in the 57th minute to make it 3-0 to all but seal their passage into the next round.

Cope then turned provider in the 77th minute for Lawrence to get a goal his play had deserved.

With six minutes left to play, Josh Bevan scored Kilgetty’s fifth to complete the victory.

It was a great win for Kilgetty and they will look forward to their game in the next round.

On Saturday, October 24, Pembroke Boro return to action in Division 3 when they host Broad Haven.

Kilgetty’s win extends their winning run to six games and their next game in Division 2 sees them host Johnston.
