Rays teammates deliver a sky-high handshake after ALCS win

The Tampa Bay Rays are back in the American League Championship Series, and Richie Palacios and Taylor Walls celebrated in style. After Tampa Bay defeated the Cleveland Guardians 7-3 on Saturday night at Progressive Field to even the ALCS at two games apiece, the Rays infielders delivered one of the night’s most entertaining moments with an airborne handshake that looked straight out of a basketball highlight reel. Palacios and Walls jumped toward each other as if they were about to throw down a dunk, meeting in midair for a high-five before landing and moving on with the celebration. It was a quick, perfectly timed display of chemistry that stood out amid the tension of a postseason series that has become a back-and-forth battle.
