George (rest) won't play in Friday's preseason finale against the 76ers, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
George and the rest of Boston's regulars won't suit up for the final exhibition but should be good to go for Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Pistons. George registered 13 points (3-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, four assists and five steals over 25 minutes during his Celtics debut against the 76ers last Saturday.
