Moore was one of Wrexham's best performers in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat against West Brom at The Racecourse in the Championship.
Having gone close to breaking the deadlock in a dour first half, the Wales international put the Reds ahead after 64 minutes with a stunning 25-yard strike which found the top corner.
Although Moore looked to have inspired his side to victory, the game slipped away as the Baggies netted two late goals to leave with three points.
The result overshadowed his contribution but Parkinson was full of praise for Moore, who is the Reds' leading scorer with four goals.
"It is such a shame because goals like that deserve to be part of a winning performance," he said.
"He played his first 90 minutes for a while at the weekend and we went with him again, but we've also got to protect him to a certain degree.
"Sam Smith is obviously a very good player as well, so we made the change (after Moore made it 1-0).
"But it was a brilliant goal, that's four he's got for the season and he's got few assists in there as well.
"He's had a really strong start to the season, and he's scored all different types of goals as well.
"He's in a good vein of form and we've just got to keep him fresh and ready to go again."
