The centre-back received a straight red card during Thursday’s Conference League clash after an alleged elbow on Red Imps player Mandi.
Kasanwirjo, 24, had already been booked before referee Dalibor Cerny dismissed him. He had been tussling in the box when Mandi was left on the deck.
Red Imps players confronted Kasanwirjo after the incident. The dismissal means the defender is suspended for Brann’s next match in the league phase.
His ban could be increased if UEFA decides the offence was serious.
Lincoln Red Imps took advantage of having an extra player when Kike Gomez put them ahead before the hour mark.
However, their numerical advantage was wiped out only two minutes later. Gabri Cardozo was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity, leaving both sides with 10 players.
Brann equalised through Niklas Castro in the 64th minute. The forward scored again 10 minutes from time to complete the comeback and secure victory for the Norwegian side.
Kasanwirjo spent time at Rangers on loan from Feyenoord.
