The 15-year-old, born in London, has landed a spot in the squad after catching the eye at the SuperCupNI, with the defender also eligible for Scotland after moving north as an infant.

He made the move to Rangers from the Motherwell academy and has now earned a spot in the England youth set-up for the prestigious tournament.

Odunukan had previously trained with Scotland at under-16 level, in the most recent camp, but he will now represent England in the Val de Marne event, where he will face Italy, Japan and France.

A Rangers Academy social media post read: "David Odunukan has been selected for the England Under-16s squad.

"Congratulations, David!"
