Former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion delivered the breakout performance he had been waiting for Sunday, helping the Cleveland Browns overcome an early 14-point deficit in a 27-24 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Concepcion finished with a career-high eight receptions for 129 yards while adding 23 rushing yards on three carries. His 152 total yards from scrimmage marked his most productive performance through seven games of his rookie season. After the game, Concepcion made it clear he expected this type of performance.
"I enter every week expecting to have a game like this. This week it was my breakout game, so I just can't wait to keep stacking weeks."
The former Aggie entered Sunday's matchup with 22 receptions for 186 yards through his first six games. He nearly matched that total against Tennessee, giving quarterback Deshaun Watson a reliable target as Cleveland battled back from a 14-0 first-quarter deficit.
Concepcion caught all eight passes in the first half, helping the Browns take a 17-14 lead into halftime. His performance also marked his first 100-yard receiving game in the NFL. Watson finished with 308 passing yards, while Quinshon Judkins added 96 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Cleveland won on Andre Szmyt's 32-yard field goal as time expired.
The Browns improved to 5-2 with the win, while Concepcion's emergence gives Cleveland another offensive weapon as the rookie continues adjusting to the NFL.
