Liverpool hope to make it three wins from three in the Champions League tonight as they welcome Villarreal to Anfield.
Andoni Iraola’s Reds featured in a nine-goal thriller away in Austria last time out in the competition, beating LASK 6-3 before earning a win over Brentford in the Premier League at the weekend.
Since taking charge at Anfield Iraola’s only wins at home have come outside of the Premier League, including victory over Spanish opposition in the Champions League - beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 to start their European campaign.
Villarreal are managed by Iraola’s former assistant and teammate Inigo Perez - with the Liverpool boss trying to bring Perez with him to England when he was hired at AFC Bournemouth.
Perez was unable to earn a work permit, returning to Spain to manage Iraola’s old employers Rayo Vallecano up until this summer, when Perez left to take charge at Villarreal.
Los Amarillos have won one and lost the other so far in the Champions League, starting their campaign with a 3-2 defeat away at Borussia Dortmund before beating Napoli in convincing fashion last week.
Fans with a TNT subscription might have expected Liverpool’s game this evening to be shown live on TV, only to be disappointed.
TNT Sports share Champions League broadcasting rights with Amazon Prime Video. Tonight’s game will be shown live on Amazon Prime Video, as the streaming service has first choice for one Tuesday game in each round of Champions League fixtures.
That will be the case under the next broadcast agreements, despite the rights switching over to Paramount, who outbid TNT to show European competition.
Amazon will retain some of their broadcasting rights in a new sharing agreement with Paramount, including the ability to pick one game to show on a Tuesday
TV channel: The game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video. Coverage starts at 6.30pm BST ahead of an 8pm kick-off.
Live stream: Subscribers will be able to watch on a live stream via the Amazon Prime Video website or app.
