LeBron James made a memorable Philadelphia 76ers debut last night, spoiling the reigning champion New York Knicks' ring ceremony with a 106-100 win. The four-time MVP had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, playing within the flow of Nick Nurse's offense while helping his new teammates flourish.
Knicks fans tried to get in James' head at one point during the game, and he made sure to regret they ever opened their mouths. James fired back with an expletive-laden rant, reminding the fans exactly where he comes from.
It's still early, but the LeBron experiment appears to be paying off for Philly.
James and the 76ers take the court again Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
