WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion David Benavidez will face WBC champion Michal Cieslak on Dec. 5, officials announced on Thursday.
The three-title unification bout will take place at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona and headline a PBC pay-per-view event on DAZN.
For Benavidez (32-0, 26 KOs), it will mark his first appearance in his home state of Arizona since he claimed the WBC super middleweight championship against David Lemieux in May 2022.
Earlier this year, Benavidez became a three-division world champion after pummeling Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez with a sixth-round TKO to capture the WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in May.
He has since expressed interest in several other major fights beyond December, including a potential matchup against WBA regular champion Jai Opetaia, who has said he wants the fight.
Benavidez is currently No. 4 in ESPN's pound for pound rankings, while Opetaia is ranked ninth.
Cieslak (28-2, 22 KOs), of Poland, won the WBC interim title with a fourth-round knockout of Jean Pascal in June 2025. He was elevated to full champion this year, after the WBC stripped former titleholder Noel Mikaelian for bypassing a mandatory title defense against Benavidez in favor of a September clash against Opetaia with Zuffa Boxing, a bout Mikaelian lost via 9th-round TKO.
The co-main event to Benavidez vs. Cieslak will feature a 12-round middleweight contest between undefeated Vergil Ortiz Jr. (24-0, 22 KOs) and former champion Keith Thurman (31-2, 23 KOs).
Ortiz has not fought since November, when he made short work of Erickson Lubin with a second-round TKO. Thurman is coming off a six-round TKO-loss to current WBC junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora back in March.
Rising junior welterweight Emiliano Vargas is also slated for a 10-round fight on the Dec. 5 card, though an opponent has yet to be named.
Emiliano, the son of former two-time world champion Fernando Vargas, last fought in June, defeating Bryce Mills via a fourth-round TKO to improve to 18-0 with 15 KOs.
