Teale, who was at the wheel of his self-built, modified Suzuki Swift GTi, clinched the overall championship title at the final round on September 28 and 29.
Heading into the final weekend, he needed to perform at his best and did just that by taking two class wins to secure enough points to win the championship.
This victory is a testament to Teale's consistent performances throughout the season.
His championship success holds special meaning for his family, too.
Both he and his late father-in-law, Bobby Fryers, had previously won championships with Longton & District Motor Club, Auto 66 Club, and Liverpool Motor Club.
However, the Harewood Championship title had always eluded them.
Sadly, Bobby passed away earlier this year, but he would have been incredibly proud to see him finally achieve what they had both worked towards – winning the Harewood Hill Climb Championship.
It makes Mark’s achievement all the more special and is a fitting tribute to Bobby’s passion for motorsport and the many years they shared in the sport.
