Rangers attacking midfielder Minsu Kim is so good that he’s earning rave reviews from former Celtic players as well.
The South Korea international moved from Girona in the summer for an £8.5m fee and has become one of the first names on the team sheet for Derek McInnes.
The 20-year-old has made eight appearances in all competitions for the Light Blues, but has not yet registered a goal or assist, even though his performances have been impressive.

So frustrating 😡 What did you make of Rangers' performance in their 2-2 draw with Dundee?! Missed the chance to go top 😤
Former Celtic midfielder Paul Slane watched the game between Dundee and Rangers on Saturday night, and was impressed with Minsu’s performance. Most people believed that he was among the better players on the pitch, and were surprised by McInnes’ decision to bring him off.
Slane believes that for a 25-minute period, the Gers attacker was unplayable and, having watched him in other games, he has labelled him as unplayable. For an ex-Hoops player to say such things about him surely means that Minsu has really left an impression on him.
Speaking on Open Goal, he said: “Kim was unplayable for 25 minutes. I’m obsessed with him. I think he’s that good.”
Minsu was one of the marquee arrivals this summer, given the money the Light Blues shelled out to sign him. While he was not someone with whom most fans were familiar, he was a target that the club were desperate to get over the line.
As mentioned above, he has yet to score or assist in his eight games for Rangers, but this is not something that will affect McInnes. The 55-year-old has been in the game long enough to know that it takes players a while to adapt to new surroundings.
Also, players can have a good game where they score and assist, but for the next 10 games, they struggle to influence the game. That is not the case with Minsu. He is someone who never shies away from receiving the ball and always has a trick up his sleeve, trying to make something happen.
