Strahinja Pavlovic has spoken of his love for the AC Milan fans after he put pen to paper on a new long-term deal.
Pavlovic is gearing up to take on his old club Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday night in the Europa League, but the build-up to the game has also brought some positive news for the centre-back: the extension of his contract until 2031.
It is a fitting reward for a player who has grown a lot since his arrival from Austria in 2024 and is now an immovable fixtures in the starting XI, something that has been the case despite the numerous managerial changes.
As part of the media material that went out upon the official announcement, a brief comment from Pavlovic was published which one presumes will be a precursor to the customary interview with Milan TV.
“AC Milan are one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to continue wearing this shirt. I’ve developed so much here, both as a person and as a player, and I want to keep improving. I love our fans: they recognise when you give 100%,” he said.
Pavlović has made 80 appearances for Milan since joining, with 75 of them starts, and seven goals scored. Reports suggest that this is the first of at least three renewals that the Rossoneri management want to get done.
