London City Lionesses scored a trio of stunning goals as the Women's Super League title hopefuls beat struggling Birmingham City.
On her 129th WSL appearance, left-back Poppy Pattinson, 26, scored for the first time in the competition, floating the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Minutes later, the Copperjax Stadium crowd were on their feet again as Delphine Cascarino scored a delightful solo effort, dancing past Marie Levasseur and slamming the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
Having created little to give hope to the travelling fans in the first half, Birmingham - second from bottom on six points - halved the deficit shortly after the break, through their predictable provider Oceane Hurtre.
From a short-corner routine, the French forward found space to shoot from range and the ball flew into the far corner, ending a two-game goal drought with her seventh of the season.
Pattinson threatened to repeat her first-half wonder goal in the 65th minute but hit the post from 20 yards. Grace Geyoro poked in the rebound but did so from an offside position.
Geyoro, though, netted her first WSL goal of the season, pouncing on a Birmingham clearance to fire a half-volley in via the underside of the crossbar from outside of the box.
In stoppage time, Freya Godfrey squared the ball to fellow substitute Kadidiatou Diani for London City's fourth goal as they moved four points behind second-placed Chelsea and six behind leaders Manchester City.
