Miami receiver Malachi Toney left the Hurricanes' game Saturday, Oct. 17 with an injury, but returned shortly after.
In the third quarter against Florida State, Toney was jostling for position with Quindarrius Jones when he got his foot caught up with the defensive back. Toney limped off the field and was helped into the medical tent.
Toney has gotten banged up multiple times this season, missing plays against Wake Forest on Sept. 18 and Clemson on Oct. 3. In both games, he briefly left to come back later, and that was again the case against FSU, as he missed one play before coming back to the field.
The Hurricanes can hardly afford another injury. They lost safety Zechariah Poyser in the first quarter on a targeting penalty, and defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald and linebacker Mohamed Toure both have been battling injuries throughout the game.
FSU lead running back Ousmane Kromah was carted off the field in the second quarter with an ankle injury.
