Memphis Grizzlies 2026 second-round pick Richie Saunders will begin his career in the G League. The Grizzlies announced that Saunders would join their G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, for this season.

Saunders is recovering from a torn right ACL he suffered on February 15 while playing for BYU. It's expected that Saunders may return for the latter part of this season.

The Grizzlies drafted Saunders with the 32nd pick of the 2026 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-5 guard was averaging 18 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game as a senior for the Cougars at the time of his injury.

Memphis will retain Saunders' NBA draft rights while he's with the Hustle.
