Lorenzo Fellon secures motojunior world title at misano finale

Lorenzo Fellon clinched the 2026 FIM MotoJunior World Championship title as the season concluded with a thrilling finale at Misano, delivering five spectacular races along the Adriatic coast. The event crowned three new champions, including Fellon, while showcasing fierce competition and dramatic battles until the final laps.

The MotoJunior showdown saw Carlos Cano of the CFMOTO Aspar Junior Team secure the Moto3 Junior World Championship after finishing sixth in Race 1. Spanish rider Fernando Bujosa of AC Racing Team dominated the weekend with two consecutive victories, extending his winning streak to three following his breakthrough triumph at Aragon. Bujosa led Race 1 by 1.369 seconds ahead of Kiattisak Singhapong (Honda Asia-Dream Racing Junior Team), with Yaroslav Karpushin (CFMOTO Aspar Junior Team) completing the podium. The second race was a nail-biting sprint, with Bujosa edging out Kiandra Ramadhipa by a mere 0.006 seconds, while Karpushin narrowly claimed third by 0.019 seconds.

Among French contenders, Enzo Bellon (CIP Green Power Junior Team, KTM) stood out by finishing tenth in both races despite the absence of injured compatriots David Da Costa and Rémy Sanjuan. Guillem Planques (Momoven Racing, KTM) faced technical issues late in Race 1 and did not start the second race. Fabien Pilato (Momoven Racing, KTM) and Henri Mignot (JEG Racing, Honda) completed Race 1 in 21st and 22nd positions, respectively.

In the Moto2 European Championship, Milan Pawelec (AGR Team) capped off a flawless season with his eighth victory of 2026 at Misano. Pawelec secured the championship with a commanding 45-point lead over closest rival Unai Orradre (Momoven Racing). Francesco Mongiardo (MMR) delighted home fans by finishing second, while Facundo Llambias (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) earned his first podium since last season at Magny-Cours. Alessandro Morosi (EAGLE-1) sealed fourth place in the race and clinched third in the overall championship standings.

The Momoven Moto4 European Cup finale witnessed Lorenzo Pritelli (Team Echovit Pasini Racing) dominate his home race, winning by over seven seconds. Ethan Sparks (British Talent Team – GRYD) achieved a remarkable second place after starting 15th, marking his first podium in the series. Victor Cubeles (Team Impala Honda) rounded out the top three. However, the championship spotlight belonged to Alvaro Lucas (CFMOTO Aspar Junior Team), who secured the 2026 title following a seventh-place finish. French riders Evan Boxberger (JEG Take Off GP) and Antoine Nativi (JEG Take Off GP) endured a challenging conclusion, with Boxberger finishing 17th and Nativi forced to retire due to an early crash.

The Stock European Championship finale was marked by Jacobo Hinojosa’s (Futurotel Face Racing) victory in the sole Misano race, but it was Lorenzo Fellon (SF Racing) who triumphed overall by finishing fifth, thus sealing the 2026 championship. Runner-up Yeray Ruiz (Team Honda Laglisse) pushed hard throughout the season but ultimately fell short by just nine points. Marcos Ludeña (IUM Motorsports) impressed with his first career podium after climbing from a sixth-place grid start.

Lorenzo Fellon’s crowning as the 2026 MotoJunior World Champion caps a season defined by intense competition and tactical mastery, marking a memorable milestone in French motorcycle racing.
