With LIV Golf's future hanging in the balance, all eyes have been on what arguably its most high-profile player, Bryson DeChambeau, plans to do next.

In the past few weeks, many of LIV Golf's players have announced that they are leaving the tour amid uncertainty over its future.

Jon Rahm has already left the league, giving up over $100 million in money that he was owed in order to secure his exit. Others that have departed include Thomas Pieters, David Puig, Abraham Ancer and DeChambeau's Crushers GC teammate, Charles Howell III.

Players have until Sunday, October 25, to decide whether they will stay for LIV Golf 2.0 or leave and ply their trade elsewhere.

Signs previously suggested that DeChambeau, who joined LIV Golf in 2022 and has been a staunch defender of the league ever since, was going to leave the tour.

Earlier this month, reports emerged that DeChambeau's representatives had reached out to DP World Tour chiefs to discuss potential tournament appearances in the upcoming season.

He is already confirmed to appear at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa in December, which will mark his first appearance on the DP World Tour in six years.

Further doubts surrounding his future emerged last week when it was revealed that he was among 19 players that had been released from their LIV Golf contracts and were free to renegotiate a deal or move elsewhere.

However, it has now been revealed that he is staying loyal to LIV Golf. According to ESPN, 'he remains committed to LIV Golf and is working diligently behind the scenes to bring LIV 2.0 to fruition.'

Earlier this year, DeChambeau, who has earned over $70 million in earnings since joining the tour, said that he hopes LIV Golf survives.

He said in August: "It's tough, it's not easy. We definitely have a lot against us.

"I hope people can see that we actually bring value to the game of golf. I think behind the scenes we've got a lot of people that are working hard to make this possible for not only all the players that are out here but all the fans that have come out to these events and the economic impact we've made on all these places.

"If it works, it works, and that's awesome. If it doesn't, we'll figure things out and time will move on."

Louis Oosthuizen Becomes Latest Big Name to Announce LIV Golf Exit

Louis Oosthuizen became the latest big name to announce his LIV Golf exit earlier this week. Taking to social media, he wrote:

“Five years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life, moving away from the traditional golf world and into something very special with LIV Golf and Southern Guards GC. I’m the biggest supporter of team golf and always will be. Golf needs more of it.

"I realised I have a lot more in me, and my biggest fear was that the schedule on LIV 2.0 would be tough to manage.

“I feel I have a few more years of good, competitive golf left in me, and the only way to be really sharp and competitive is through a schedule I control.

"This is probably the hardest decision I’ve had to make in my career, but I have to do what I believe is right for my golf. It doesn’t change how I feel about the team or the guys.

“I’ll always be grateful to PIF and LIV for what they did for me. I made new friends and got even closer to my current friends and family."
