Brock Davis, son of Duke champion Brian Davis, off Blue Devils' active roster

Brock Davis is no longer on Duke basketball's active roster as he focuses on academics, a Duke spokesperson confirmed to The Fayetteville Observer on Thursday.

Davis, the son of two-time Duke national champion Brian Davis, was one of six players who returned from last season's Elite Eight team. He was elevated from Duke's practice squad to the active roster ahead of the 2026 ACC Tournament, drawing attention on social media when he appeared on the bench during the postseason.

The fifth-year player from Washington, D.C., appeared in the final minute of Duke's 103-64 exhibition win over Tennessee on Oct. 20.

His father, Brian Davis, played on Duke's 1991 and 1992 national championship teams under coach Mike Krzyzewski. The 6-foot-7 guard/forward averaged 6.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 141 career games with the Blue Devils before the Phoenix Suns selected him with the 48th pick in the 1992 NBA Draft.

Duke opens its 2026-27 season at home against Army on Monday, Nov. 2.
