Alejandro Bedoya, who joined the Glasgow club from Orebro in 2011, will hang up his boots at the end of the 2026 MLS campaign.
The American midfielder, now 39, spent a single season at Ibrox, making 13 appearances and scoring once in a 5-0 victory over Dundee United.
After leaving Rangers, Bedoya returned to Sweden with Helsingborgs before moving to France to play for Nantes. However, his longest and most successful spell was back in the US with Philadelphia Union.
He joined the MLS side in 2016, captained the club, and made over 300 appearances. In addition to his club career, Bedoya earned 66 caps for the United States and represented his country at the 2014 World Cup.
He was also part of the US team that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2013 and 2017. At Philadelphia, Bedoya helped the Union reach the MLS Cup final in 2022. He has remained involved during his final campaign as he prepares to bring his playing career to an end.
Bedoya first emerged as one of the leading talents in American college football at Boston College, earning NCAA first-team All-American honours and being named Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Offensive Player of the Year in 2007.
This earned him a move to Europe with Orebro in 2009 before Ally McCoist brought him to Rangers two years later. His time at Ibrox proved brief, but Bedoya went on to build an impressive career at club and international level.
He returned to Europe with Helsingborgs before his move to France, where he spent three seasons with Ligue 1 side Nantes.
