The central defender has taken to life at Ibrox like a duck to water and has earned high praise for his performances so far.
Having only joined in a move from MLS side Philadelphia Union in the summer, there is already speculation regarding whether big clubs from England or further afield could show an interest.
There is also a feeling that Rangers would be able to command a huge fee for the South Africa international, given his performance level.
Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown does feel there will be strong interest in the 22-year-old.
However, he has backed Rangers to stand firm and bat off any offers, even if they are huge.
Brown told Football Insider: "Rangers will be delighted with his form since he came to the club in the summer.
"We spoke about how difficult it can be for Rangers to sign players and where they might have to look, and they've looked over in the MLS and signed a real top player.
"Whenever a player is making waves at either Rangers or Celtic, they're bound to attract interest from the Premier League, so I don't doubt scouts will be watching him.
"But Rangers will be doing everything in their power to keep hold of him because they won't want to lose him just months into his career.
"Even if a big offer comes in, I can't see them letting him go because he's such an important part of what they're trying to do and the success they are aiming to have this season.
"So I think Rangers will be pretty clear in their stance, they don't want to let him go and they're not going to entertain offers."
