Federico Chiesa could leave Liverpool in January and several Serie A clubs are keeping tabs on his situation, including AC Milan.
It’s been a little over two years since Chiesa decided to leave Serie A to join Liverpool, then eager to test his wings in the Premier League. However, with just 424 minutes in the competition (two this season), it hasn’t exactly been successful.
As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, the 28-year-old is facing a crossroads of sorts as he needs to get back to playing consistently. Continuign at Liverpool isn’t completely ruled out, but the feeling is that he will start looking for a new destination.
If Chiesa decides that his time at Liverpool has run its course, then there will be plenty of suitors in Serie A. As the report continues, the likes of Milan, Inter, Lazio, and Atalanta are keeping tabs on his situation and would be exploring a move if he’s open to joining.
Considering the Rossoneri’s lack of depth in attack, which was definitely highlighted last night, Chiesa could be a good addition especially since he’s versatile. He can play on the flank, in the centre, and even up front if that is necessary.
There has been no mention of a price tag, but Liverpool are open to a sale after paying €12m for his services two years ago.
