Here we are Everton fans – the Premier League table. Wind back to the summer when Liverpool had increased their £100m contingent to three and you were heading into the season with Thierno Barry as your only striker. Okay, the Reds could go leapfrog the Blues on Sunday but, for now, Everton are fifth and Barry is the Premier League’s joint-second top scorer.

Good morning! The Premier League weekend is already in play after Everton came back from 1-0 down to beat Coventry 3-1 at the Hill Dickinson last night. Two goals from the in-form Thierno Barry turned the game and put the Toffees above Liverpool!

Leeds and Tottenham get today’s Premier League action under way at 12.30pm GMT, followed by Arsenal hosting Hull to headline our 3pm clockwatch. Manchester City head south to Nottingham Forest in the 5.30pm game, plus there’s a huge slate of FA Cup first-round action, the WSL’s top two both kicking off at 12.45pm, Bayern and Dortmund in the Bundesliga at 2.30pm and much more!

If you’re on your way to a game today or have anything to get off your chest, you can mail us at matchday.live. Comments will hopefully be open BTL shortly, too.
