AC Milan’s unbeaten record in Serie A fell on Thursday night after a disastrous second-half performance against Bologna.
Milan started the game badly on the night with Samuel Mbangula putting Bologna 1-0 up, but Alphadjo Cisse scored twice in relatively quick succession – his first two goals at home – to put the Rossoneri in front going into the break.
Then, the second half was a total catastrophe. An own-goal drew Raffaele Palladino’s side level, then two minutes later they led again with Mbangula scoring, and the Belgian got his hat-trick late on to secure a quite remarkable 4-2 win.
We published our ratings on the final whistle, and now we can compare them with what our readers thought of the performances of each player involved.
Going on the presumption that a 6 out of 10 is a passing grade (as the Italian papers do it), there were only four players in the starting line-up that managed to achieve that. Fikayo Tomori scored a 6.1 on average, while Ardon Jashari got the same, Omari Hutchinson was awarded a 6.4 and Cisse a 7.3.
The stand-out scores in a negative sense are Pervis Estupinan (2.9) and Goncalo Ramos (3.8). Koni De Winter, Yunus Musah (both 4.5s) and Davide Bartesaghi (4.9) all didn’t even get half marks.
The substitutes were a mixed bag too, with Sankhoun Diawara’ 4.6 and Francesco Camarda’s 4.8 the worst, but even Luka Modric and Christian Pulisic (5.6s) didn’t get a pass this time.
