Master Dominique Stephen and Master Henry Stephen, who run the SKMA clubs, said they were exceptionally proud of the entire team and what they have achieved on the international stage.

But they insisted that the championship wasn’t just about podium places.

“They showcase the value of perseverance, teamwork, discipline and the confidence that comes from committing to a goal and working hard to achieve it,” Dominique said.

The dynamic dozen represented the SKMA clubs in Forres, Hopeman, Nairn and Grantown, competing against fellow Scots as well as rivals from Canada, USA Wales and the Netherlands.

Henry Stephen also competed as part of the UK national fight team, which once again claimed the overall championship title.
