Antonio joined the Hornets in September, but since being an unused substitute in a 2-1 loss against Stoke the day after his arrival, the 36-year-old has not featured in a matchday squad.
Speaking after last weekend's defeat away to Wolves, Dionisi revealed that Antonio has been suffering from an issue and could not offer a potential timeline for his return.
It is understood that Antonio is suffering from a quad issue, and speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to Norwich, Dionisi insisted that he is working to get back to top condition.
"Now, Michail works to arrive in good shape," he insisted.
Dionisi continued to confirm that he is not expecting any of his injured players to return before next month's international break.

"Against Norwich, there won't be [Kwadwo] Baah, [Jeremy] Ngakia, [Edoardo] Bove, [Soumaila] Coulibaly and Antonio," he conceded.
"Now it's difficult to know [who will be back first]," he admitted. "They will probably be ready after the international break... probably."
Coulibaly is the latest player to join that list, having been omitted from the squad against Wolves last week due to a hamstring issue.
