During a loss against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday evening, Brooklyn Nets forward Julius Randle tried something that he probably shouldn't have done.
Randle, who was acquired by the Nets from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a four-team trade during the offseason, is a veteran on an otherwise very young Brooklyn roster. When the three-time All-Star played against the in-division rival Celtics, his daring efforts earned him an embarrassing penalty.
The forward set a screen on the perimeter when Paul George gently brushed into him for what can only be described as a brief moment.
Randle then flew for a few feet before dramatically hitting the deck for some reason.
Officials whistled him for a technical foul and the Celtics were awarded a free-throw and the ball back.
Curiously, the call wasn't actually made until after the basket had already connected a few seconds later. So that call was reversed and it was instead a turnover. Yikes!
