The 2026 NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday, Nov. 10 with some prominent names like All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor and Pro Bowl wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. floating around in NFL rumors. While multiple blockbuster deals are unlikely, it does seem like there’ll be some action on Monday and Tuesday based on the latest buzz heading into the weekend.
Let’s dive into our latest NFL trade rumors roundup for Saturday morning.
Days after reports surfaced that the Minnesota Vikings are not likely to acquire Jonathan Taylor, in part due to financial constraints, it appears there’s a new front-runner to land the Indianapolis Colts running back. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported that the New York Giants are viewed as the only “serious suitor” right now for Taylor. That’s in part due to what New York is reportedly willing to put on the table. Indianapolis wants either a future first-round pick or a return similar to the Christian McCaffrey trade (second-, third-, and fourth-round picks). While the Giants aren’t meeting either of those asking prices, their offer seems to be the best on the table and they are the favorites if the Colts move their All-Pro weapon.
Of the wide receivers most frequently mentioned in NFL rumors this week, it appears Indianapolis Colts pass-catcher Josh Downs is the likeliest to move. The 5-foot-9 wideout is having a down year, putting up just 30 receptions for 330 receiving yards through eight games. Downs, age 25, only carries a $4.186 million cap hit this season and clubs believe he can produce better results after a change of scenery. Sports Illustrated‘s Albert Breer wrote on Friday that it will “probably” cost a fourth-round pick to acquire Downs. He mentioned the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers among the suitors.
Heading into Week 9, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray has the fourth-worst ESPN QBR (44.6) among starters. He’s the biggest reason why the Vikings offense has scored the second-fewest touchdowns (12) in the National Football League. Acquiring a running back once seemed like the obvious move, but it now seems like the focus for the Vikings front office has shifted in November. NFL insider James Palmer reported for Amazon Prime Video ahead of Thursday Night Football that the Vikings “know the market” at quarterback. While they “still believe” in Murray as the starter, there’s increased speculation around the league that Minnesota could acquire another signal-caller.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have received calls on wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. since the offseason. After earning Pro Bowl honors in his rookie season, putting up 1,282 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, he seemed to fall out of favor in the Jaguars offense in the second half of the 2025 NFL season. Now, he’s coming off a stretch where he’s played just 34.3 percent of the team’s offensive snaps in the last three games. Numerous clubs around the league, including the Chiefs and Washington Commanders, would love to acquire the former first-round pick and Jacksonville is receptive to moving him. There is, however, an issue.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported that the Jaguars have been “less inclined” to move Thomas Jr. because he provides a downfield threat for Liam Coen’s offense. Furthermore, per NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, Thomas is well-liked in the Jaguars locker room and there was negative fallout last fall when the team traded cornerback Tyson Campbell. As of now, it appears Thomas Jr. might remain in Jacksonville until the offseason.
The Kirk Cousins signing has worked out perfectly for the Las Vegas Raiders. Entering Week 9, the veteran ranks third in passing yards (2,124) and second in passing touchdowns (19), all the while serving as an excellent mentor for Fernando Mendoza. The upcoming Raiders schedule–at 49ers, vs Seattle Seahawks and at Denver Broncos–is also extremely unfavorable to throw the first overall pick into for his first career start. There is more than enough incentive for Las Vegas to keep Cousins.
What would it take for a team like the Vikings to convince the Raiders front office otherwise? Charles Robinson wrote in Friday’s NFL BlueBook that he believes a third-round pick “would be too tempting” for the team to pass up. Tom Pelissero previously speculated on Bill Simmons podcast that it might even cost a second-round pick. Either way, Minnesota is looking at Day 2 capital to even get a conversation going.
Widely expected to be one of the worst NFL teams in 2026, the Cleveland Browns have surprised everyone around the league with a 5-3 record heading into Week 9. That doesn’t mean that general manager Andrew Berry will be aggressive at the NFL trade deadline, but it does appear an addition is possible. NFL insider Charles Robinson wrote that he thinks the Browns are “poking around potential lower-cost additions”, perhaps along the offensive line or added depth at tight end. It wouldn’t be a splash move by any means, but Cleveland might add depth to its roster that it can rotate in.
While the Buffalo Bills haven’t been one of the most prominent teams mentioned in NFL trade rumors this season, that doesn’t mean general manager Brandon Beane isn’t attempting to make an addition. Responding to Sportsnaut, NFL insider Jason La Canfora of Casino Guru said that Beane is “trying to make something happen” and an addition to the defense is expected. One name La Canfora mentioned is Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker. Even if Baker isn’t added, the Bills know they need help in the secondary.
