Over the coming weeks and months, it will be very interesting to learn the full impact of Manchester City's guilty verdict. The club have been found guilty of breaking Premier League rules, and huge sanctions are expected.

City have appealed the decision, and while that process takes place over a maximum of 12 weeks, Enzo Maresa's men will continue to play with a shadow hanging over them. As of yet, though, there has been no obvious negative impact on the pitch.

Man City have won all seven of their Premier League games to start the season, with victories over Liverpool and Ipswich Town coming since the verdict was made public. Despite that, however, one player has not been at his best.

Man City Star Was 'Really Poor' vs Ipswich

A strike from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland's brace gave City a 3-2 win over Ipswich on Saturday afternoon. Winning by just a one-goal margin against the newly promoted team made for a nervy finish.

The three points likely would have been gained without as much stress were it not for the worrying display of Marc Guehi. The England international was at fault for both goals, first slipping as he failed to stop Daizen Maeda from running through on goal, and then clumsily giving away a penalty as Zian Flemming scored the away team's second.

In the Manchester Evening News, the defender was given a team-low 4/10 player rating, with the report noting: "Guehi: Really poor for the Ipswich goal, his worst mistake since Everton last season, and some careless errors towards the end as well that included conceding a penalty."

The poor performance isn't anything new either. Indeed, Guehi struggled as Man City shipped four goals against Paris Saint-Germain during the week. Admittedly, he wasn't the only weak link at the back in that Champions League defeat, but his form hasn't been good since the guilty verdict.

Just one day after David Ornstein broke the news, England took on Spain. Less than two minutes in, Guehi made an error as Lamine Yamal punished the mistake to score the third-quickest goal against the Three Lions at Wembley.

Man City Fans Concerned by Guehi's 'Shocking' Form

Amid the troubling run of form, some Man City fans are concerned that Guehi is being negatively impacted by the guilty verdict. After the Ipswich game, one wrote: "Marc Guehi has had a very poor game today. Two costly mistakes leading to goals."

Another added: "Guehi got caught out a few times today. But not just today, its been happening all season. Even with England!" A third asked:

"Marc Guehi brother, you’ve been shocking over the last 2 games, what’s going on?"

Another said: If Guehi is going to be playing like this under pressure, please he should be put up for sale. After all he did not cost much." While someone else claimed:

"Since Manchester City was found guilty, Guehi hasn't been the same. Just making silly mistakes."

Another summed up the mood, writing: "Guehi has been shocking this last month. Absolute disaster class today." Even before his latest outing, another fan also took to social media to tout their theory: "He's been shaking ever since the verdict came out."
