Désiré Doué was delighted with a 4-2 win for Paris Saint-Germain against Barcelona.
The French forward is one of the rising stars of the men’s game, and he has established his importance to the back-to-back Champions League winners with massive moments in his first two campaigns.
The attacker eventually ousted Bradley Barcola from the frontline for the Parisiens in the second half of his debut season, scoring a brace just before his 20th birthday in the 5-0 rout of Inter Milan.
PSG had a much grittier test of their patience the following year against Arsenal, but Doué was one of the four players to bury their penalty for the reigning champions as they triumphed in Budapest.
He has now hit the ground running in Europe’s elite competition this edition. He registered a goal and an assist against Manchester City last week inside the first quarter of an hour, then he broke the deadlock with a well-taken strike in the first half of the showdown with the Blaugrana on Tuesday.
PSG are looking like the team to beat, and Doué enjoys being part of such a spectacular collective.
