Ferns Mackenzie Wiki talking to 5 Live Sport Extra: "It feels surreal. [To reach the final]. So happy lost for words and proud of this group."

On hard work paying off: "It's been amazing. Four to five weeks with the sisters and we're improving each week and having fun. To get to the grand final it's so surreal."

On the weather conditions: "It was very sunny when we got here, warm. It was quite bipolar but we will play in any conditions."

Samoa's standout player today has been 18-year-old debutant Anastasia Leatupue.

She again gathers a difficult kick under immense New Zealand pressure, keeping her country alive in this World Cup.

Samoa advance on the attack - but it breaks down after their fourth forward pass of the match.

They have made 11 errors today, to New Zealand's 10.

After all that hard work, that's a dreadful error.

Raecene McGregor with a well-judged kick into the Samoan end zone, and wing Mercedez Taulelei-Siala makes the basic error of allowing the ball to bounce.

Stacey Waaka nips in, grabs the ball and scores.

Tara Jones

England didn't make the semi-finals this time, but one of their team from the last World Cup is involved today - as the referee.

Former St Helens hooker Tara Jones played as England were beaten 20-6 by New Zealand in their semi-final in York four years ago - and since retiring as a player, has focused fully on refereeing. She made history in March this year as the first woman to take change of a men's Super League game, as Huddersfield won at Wigan.

This is Jones' fourth match as a referee at this World Cup - she actually started by keeping an eye on some of her former England colleagues, overseeing their 70-6 victory over Wales on 17 October. She then refereed New Zealand's 92-0 victory over France on 25 October and Fiji's 54-6 win over the French six days later.
