The Blues, following a weekend off from league action, are at home to Hyde in the cup clash.

Manager Parkinson told Chester FC TV: “First team fixture it will be for us this time.

“In the past, I’ve used it as an opportunity to blood academy players. But, I feel with not having a game at the weekend and it will be two weeks from a competitive fixture from the last game, it’s really important that we utilise that the best way we can.

“Get as many minutes in the first team players that need the minutes and some that will need to keep ticking over going into the South Shields game.”

It’s a big night of FA Cup replay action with Altrincham, managed by former Connah’s Quay Nomads boss Neil Gibson, heading to FC United of Manchester.

Chorley visit Worcester and Bury make the trip to Hartlepool.

John Rooney’s Macclesfield are away to Anstey Nomads and Forest Green host Chesham.

Tonight’s other replays: Alvechurch v Spalding; Cray Wdrs v Bedford; Gloucester v Barrow; Stafford v Gateshead; Tadley Calleva v Aldershot; Yeovil v Leatherhead.

National League Cup ties: Wealdstone v Nottingham Forest U21s; Boreham Wood v Middlesbrough U21s.
