There are several Celtic summer signings that supporters are yet to get a proper look at.
Whether it’s because of injuries, arriving on transfer deadline day or Martin O’Neill’s stubbornness, many of them haven’t yet been given a proper chance.
That includes Celtic’s new right-back Jordan Lotomba, who moved to Glasgow from Feyenoord, just as the 2026 summer window was closing.

After just three wins in 10, what tactical changes do you want to see from Martin O'Neill to change Celtic's fortunes vs Besiktas?
In that sense, you question where Lotomba fits in, but with Johnston injured again, the door is open for the Dutchman to start, but he hasn’t yet been handed that chance.

As O’Neill mentioned, Celtic have been playing a lot of games of late, including several European matches, so will he heavily rotate now?
Given that O’Neill mentioned Lotomba in his pre-match presser, perhaps that is an indication that the Celtic Park faithful might see him against Beşiktaş.
“No, (I don’t know my best XI),” admitted O’Neill. “I keep getting asked this question. Until I know what everyone can do at the football club.
“Then I probably won’t know that. It’s not always knowing about your best team, because we have had a lot of games. We are rotating a bit to try and save some legs. Save a little bit of energy.
“I think it’s our ninth game in about 20-odd days, or whatever the case may be. We are in these competitions, and we are trying to do our best.
“But getting back to your point, once each player has had an opportunity, for instance, Lotomba hasn’t really had a proper opportunity. Once players get a couple of matches, then you will be able to make a decision.
