Didier Digard has reportedly been sacked as Le Havre’s manager, according to information from L’Équipe.
Bottom of Ligue 1 with seven defeats and just two points after nine league matches, the Normandy side suffered yet another poor performance on Friday against Paris Saint-Germain (1-5). One setback too many for the Blue Crow Sports Group, the club’s American shareholder, which have decided to cut their losses.
Having taken charge of Le Havre in 2024, the 40-year-old former midfielder had signed a contract extension last summer, following two seasons in which he had managed to keep his team in the top flight. Three months later, Digard has become the first Ligue 1 manager to be sacked during the 2026-27 season.
Le Havre, who have suffered five consecutive defeats and are set to face Lorient, Troyes, RC Strasbourg-Alsace, RC Lens and Le Mans before the winter break, currently sit five points adrift of the safety zone.
